What's a "sustainability lens"? It's one that considers environmental and social factors, as well as economic ones. Sometimes that's referred to as keeping a "triple bottom line" (TBL) in mind.
Sustainability is becoming a strategic imperative for an increasing percentage of organizations. The question is—when they work to define and implement the initiatives they will take, will they do it effectively? As with many problems and opportunities in organizations, many of these questions are essentially performance questions.

This webinar talks about how we might begin to put on a sustainability lens, and introduces one particular tool - a "sustainability impact assessment" - that can be useful when getting started in this area.

About the presenters:
Tony Marker is Chair and Professor in the Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning Department at Boise State University. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and teaches courses in improving human performance in the workplace, systems thinking, and the design of sustainable business processes. A frequent author and presenter at ISPI conferences, he has been working and teaching in the field for over 15 years. Tony received his PhD from Indiana University in Instructional Systems Technology.
Linda Urban is an adjunct faculty member in the Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning Department at Boise State University. She teaches courses in designing sustainable organizations, foundations of organizational performance and workplace learning, needs assessment, and ethnographic research in organizations. Linda also works with organizations and teams as a consultant. An experienced international presenter, Linda received her Masters from Boise State in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning.
