Join us for an information hour with HR professional and OPWL alum, Karen Baerlocher, SPHR, SHRM-SCP! We will spend some time getting to know each other, followed by a presentation and discussion on resumes, job searches, and interviewing.
Karen Baerlocher, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has over 20 years of proven Human Resources experience in a variety of industries. She has advised managers at all levels of an organization, with specialties in comprehensive recruitment and on-boarding efforts, HR compliance, creating and conducting training programs, and program evaluation. She currently works as the HR Manager at Alta Science and Engineering where she oversees all the HR functions.
Karen enjoys helping organizations build HR programs for sustainable success. Her passion for HR has guided her to serve in a number of ways, including running a consulting business specializing in supporting non-profit and small business’ HR needs and program evaluations. She is an active community volunteer and enjoys volunteering at her sons’ school, serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for the Boise State College of Engineering, and has served on the Board of Directors for non-profits in the Northwest.
Karen’s educational accomplishments include a Master’s of Science degree in Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning from Boise State University and Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from Portland State University. She also completed a comprehensive Human Resources Management Certification program at Portland State University.
Karen was raised in Hillsboro, Oregon, and has called Boise home for the past 16 years. She enjoys spending time with her husband and boys camping, hiking, and making memories on long road trips.
